The Office of Research Communications supports the OVPR mission by promoting UGA research and scholarly activity. It is the primary contact and resource for reporters, editors, researchers, producers and other public information /relations professionals seeking information about research at UGA. It disseminates news and information about UGA research to the lay public and supports UGA researchers by providing information about OVPR services.

We respond to requests for information from reporters and work with UGA researchers to develop stories and visual materials about their research.

We do not sell items mentioned in Media Shelf. Use the link provided on the page to locate a source, contact the author or the publisher listed under the title, or see if the item is available from the UGA Bookstore .

Research Communications does not keep copies of original research papers. Visit the UGA online phone book to locate the researcher mentioned in the release. If the researcher is not listed in the online phone book, use the UGA department directory to locate and contact the researcher’s former department.

Research Newsletter is an online compilation of UGA research announcements, federal funding agency announcements and research funding opportunities that may be of interest to UGA researchers. The latest announcements and opportunities are sent twice a month by listserv to Research Newsletter subscribers. Researchers also may get RSS feeds for opportunities as they are added to the newsletter.
