Overview

The Office of Research Support Services (ORSS) provides products and services essential to a quality research environment. Our goal is to support the UGA research community with access to state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation, chemicals, laboratory supplies and equipment, technical expertise, and cost-competitive services. ORSS offers such specialties as glass blowing and instrument design, fabrication and repair. ORSS also provides fiscal support for each unit under the auspices of ORSS.

Central Research Stores (CRS)

A large warehousing and issuing facility that offers a wide variety of research and teaching supplies and equipment to serve the University of Georgia as well as federal, state, and local agencies. Learn more ›

Campus Scientific Store (CSS)

Provides scientific supplies to teaching and research laboratories from a convenient campus location. Learn more ›

Glass Blowing Shop

Creates a variety of standard and one-of-a-kind glass items and modifies commercial glassware for use in research projects. Learn more ›

Instrument Shop

Designs, fabricates, repairs or modifies new or existing equipment and machinery. Learn more ›

Laboratory Equipment Repair Shop

Provides prompt, effective service on a wide range of scientific instrumentation from pH meters and shaker tables to ultracentrifuges and mass spectrometers. Learn more ›

Research Business Services (RBS)

RBS was established to provide a resource for existing and new core labs that need administrative support but lack the funding to hire their own staff. Learn more ›
